Tomato sauce on unbaked pizza dough - Max M Rasmussen
Video Recipe - A tomato sauce can easily become too complicated. You can actually make one that is *very* simple, quick and extremely tasty with just a few ingredients. This simple recipe has certainly become my absolute favorite tomato sauce.

Ingredients

makes 2-2 ½ dl sauce, enough for 4-6 pizzas

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tbsp (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • 1 stalk fresh basil
  • 400 g chopped tomato (1 can)
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Press the cloves of garlic flat with a knife or another. Cut possible. roughly into squares. You do not remove the peel.

Heat oil in a skillet until it is very hot. Do not smoke, but almost.

Come Basil stem and the Garlic in oil.

Fry until the Garlic is golden. It gives a lot of flavor. They may not be black as it becomes too bitter.

Pour the tomatoes and the salt by.

IMG Tomato sauce is simmering

Let it simmer in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Indefinite period the thin tomato liquid started to be viscous.

Push it through a sieve with sauces happen so you get a smooth thick sauce without lumps.

Notes

You will need approximately. 3 tablespoons (½ cup) sauce on pizza.

Oil amount?

Whoever translated this for you made a mistake. 3 tablespoons do not equal 1/2 cup. 8 tablespoons equals 1/2 cup. In your video it looks like you use a lot of oil in the pan so I used the 1/2 cup. It was a disaster, hahaha. Luckily I had an extra can of tomatoes and was able to fix it. This sauce tastes great, thank you.

Oil amount?

No you are right. 3 tbsp is 1/2 dl. Which is little less than 1/4 cup. It should be fixed now.
